Perineoplasty

Perineoplasty is a cosmetic surgery to repair the perineum, or area between the vagina and anus. After birth, the perineum can be severely scarred, stretched, or torn. This is usually the result of a difficult vaginal delivery (dystocia), resulting in a episiotomy and/or tearing during delivery. In these cases, Drs. Kimble may recommend complimentary treatments to fully heal and repair the area.

This area may also incur additional changes with aging, such as muscle weakness, further stretching, or separation. Perineoplasty can repair this damage and restore the central area of support for the vagina.

  • Individuals who have experienced vaginal and perineal damage during or after childbirth
  • Individuals who struggle to achieve vaginal orgasm
  • Individuals who struggle with air trapped in the vagina during intercourse. (i.e., “queefing”)
  • Individuals who have stretched muscles and loose tissue as a result of menopause and advanced aging
