Anal Tag Removal

Skin tags can show up almost anywhere on the body, including our intimate areas. Often the cause is unclear, but some people may be genetically prone to them. When skin tags form around the anus, they may be caused by friction or irritation, diarrhea, constipation, hemorrhoids, or Crohn’s disease. If you suspect you have an anal tag, Drs. Kimble are experts in diagnosis and various treatment protocols to remove the issue.

There are many approaches to anal skin tag removal, depending on the size, location, bulk, and level of discomfort.

Removal may come by use of a heat laser to kill the impacted tissue, causing the tag to drop away slowly, or may include the use of radiofrequency. Though larger tags may require more intricate removal and stitches, smaller anal tags can be carefully removed with surgical scissors. After anal tag removal, patients are usually able to return home the same day and may resume light activity the following day.

Treatment for anal tag removal at the Kimble Center for Intimate Cosmetic Surgery starts at $500.
