Dr. alexis may kimble

Dr. Alexis May Kimble is double boarded in General Gynecology and the subspecialty Female Pelvic Medicine and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her education and training has taken her from Coast to Coast. She holds a BA in English from the University of Southern California, and her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in California, graduating with the Chair award in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Following her completion of her residency in general obstetrics and gynecology in New York, Dr. Kimble was selected as a fellow in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She is among the few urogynecologists in the country to also receive advanced subspecialty training in aesthetic vulvovaginal surgery. Currently, she serves as Medical Director for Kimble Center for Intimate Cosmetic Surgery where her belief that all women are “beautiful from the inside out” resonates through the center.
During her extensive training, Dr. Kimble received several awards, including excellence in teaching and laparoscopy. She has also authored the book chapter named, “Biological Grafts in Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery” in the core textbook used in female urology titled, “Textbook of Female Urology and Urogynecology” by
Cardozo and Staskin. Other chapters she has authored include, “General Gynecology” in Pocket OBGYN, a core reference manual for rotating medical residents in gynecology. Dr. Kimble has written numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals on the topics of energy-based devices for vaginal and vulvar conditions, overactive bladder, painful bladder, pelvic pain, and surgical outcomes following prolapse repair. She is a globally recognized expert in the field of urogynecology and pelvic reconstructive surgery, having served on multiple global missions to India and South America, in conjunction with the International Urogynecological Association and the Urogynaecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Society of India as well as Saving Mothers, respectively to share her expertise in women’s health and pelvic floor surgery. She is a Key Opinion Leader in vulvovaginal health.

Dr. DAVID M. kimble

Dr. David M. Kimble began his career in the late 1990’s after working with the true grandfathers of urogynecology, eventually becoming a pioneer himself in this field. With Dr. David Kimble’s artistic eye and exceptional surgical skills, he was quickly recognized and regarded as a national leader in vulvar and vaginal surgery. His innovations continue to improve surgical techniques adopted nationally. He has taught his techniques to hundreds of surgeons across the world and continues this educational endeavor today at the Kimble Center for Intimate Cosmetic Surgery. Over the course of his career thus far, he has successfully operated on over ten thousand women, dramatically improving their lives. He has been the recipient of hundreds of awards and accolades for his kind and caring bedside manner as well as his exceptional surgical skills. One of his most heartfelt awards was the Golden Apple Award, which was bestowed on him as the model physician and surgeon. He is consistently regarded as a Top Surgeon year after year.

 

Before moving his practice to the Los Angeles area, Dr. Kimble held the esteemed position of Chief of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery and Urogynecology at a major medical center in New York.

 

He held the responsibility of teaching surgery to countless doctors-in-training for years. Dr. Kimble also taught anatomy labs across the country to impart his vast knowledge to improve women’s care on a national level. Beyond the role of Chief of Pelvic

Reconstructive Surgery, he was the Chair of the Robotic Surgery Program at the same institution, bringing national notoriety to the program and creating industry-wide standards for other institutions to follow. During Dr. Kimble’s tenure as Chair, the Robotics program soared from just under 200 robotic surgeries annually to over 1200 annually. He traveled extensively teaching robotic surgery techniques to hundreds of surgeons and he established the robotics programs at some of the most prestigious universities in the Northeast.
